We list galleries and initiatives in the Portuguese capital that take drawing and illustration as their main artery, Lisbon is experiencing its best moment of celebration for being a creative hotbed of new artists and connection with artists already consolidated within the universe of visual arts in Portugal and the world. With works and values accessible to all, ranging from 3.50 euros to 100 euros on average from postcards to prints.

NOVA BANCA
ITS NOT A NEWSPAPER AND MAGAZINE STAND, ITS A GALLERY STAND!
Nova Banca Galeria is the first sidewalk art gallery in Lisbon. Operating in an old newspaper and magazine stand, in Avenida de Roma, it is a meeting point for artists, illustrators and artlovers. The project, idealized by artist Manuel Mendonça and designer Marina Borba, emerged with the purpose of democratizing the access to this type of product and gathers works from national and international artists and illustrators.
In the collection: Manuel Mendonça, Adriano Marcusso, Aline Basso, Carlos Pragana, and Francisco Baccario.

MALAPATA
The gallery located in Chiado has works for all sizes, from postcards to A2, with a curatorship focused on illustration. In the collection: artists such as: Camilla Cossermelli, Clara Não, João Fidalgo, Gonçalo Vianna, Henriette Arcelin, Susa Monteiro, Margarida Fleming and Oficina Loba.

JOIA OURIVERSARIA DE SENTIMENTOS – GOLDSMITH OF FEELINGS
A gallery that became a platform, today it holds an exhibition and workshop space, tattoo studio, illustration agency.
In 2019, where there was an old goldsmith’s shop appeared in a corridor of 18m2 the inspiration and the gallery project by the hands and restless mind of visual artist Vital Lordelo, who today likes to refer to Joia as a platform, now installed in Penha de França, the platform works with local and international artists, has a model based on 65% commission to the artist, in short, when buying at Joia the artist has more remuneration for his work.
Joia has 44 m2, an exhibition area, workshop space and tattoo studio, the virtual platform also works as an illustration agency and has its own magazine catalog about art and illustration the Fresta that can be purchased separately to support the platform or as a gift with each purchase on the site or in the physical store.
In the collection of Joia platform we highlight some names: Artes e Letras Atelier, Cara Trancada, Gambuzino, Joana Molho, Eduardo Belga, El Lanham, Félix Rodrigues, Giulia Cavallo, Inês Viegas Oliveira, João Baffa, Hiruma Lopez, Sara Marques,Nestor Jr., Klaus Reis, Pedro Fragoso, Ruben Ramires, Rutilene Martins and Twotma.
